Tolerance to turn conviction to your own advantage

We all have beliefs and in extreme cases we believe something so much that it becomes principle of our life; call it conviction. Bringing this concept into limelight we can say it has both pros and cons. Let us emphasize on turning it more advantageous to yourself and for this all you have to do is avoid falling into the trap of disadvantageous conviction just by demarcating and deciphering it. We are cultivated with ideologies, through experiences and the people we meet, exist in our lives. These both sources form the strong base for what you believe in and also what you strongly believe in. So we take data from this database to judge a situation, evaluate it even at times following somebody else's perspective blindly. That is fine but having conviction for a principle not of your own conscience and blindly following it, is the proof that you fell for the prey. An act of the moment?

It's absolutely heart wrenching to see a newspaper article that read out ' A five year girl raped'. I've always wondered what it's like to have the sexual drag towards someone they just saw. Is it the person walks alone in spite of knowing it's dangerous. Is it because of the so called provoking attire. Is it because they look weak and vulnerable? Is it because they neither can hurt you back nor can go legally against you? If attire is to be blamed, what has a five year old girl got to do with it? If walking alone is to be blamed, what for are the terms development, advancement and civilization? It's sheer shame putting the blame on the victims rather than halting the catastrophe at the origin. It could only be another bunch of lines in the newspaper for the day, or one more. Unheard?

While I had the trait of voicing out my opinions right from my childhood, there are times that I stayed calm even when something was troubling me. I assumed both Type A and Type B persons' traits. A: The one who doesn't believe his/her voice doesn't matter. The one rather prefers to stay calm rather than deny or challenge the other person who is causing trouble in some way. The one who'd rather be a silent victim than face it. B: If something doesn't align with what they believe, they question. They ask for what they want. They stammer, yet are loud. As humans, we want to feel belonged and any disturbance caused  in the process of becoming one among everybody is excruciating. To stand out from the crowd means being a criminal. Forget the criminal act, what if you're ridiculed or mocked at? You might also lose the advantage that you're to receive if the other person's view is denied.
